I am April Roberts.  I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. I grew up in Tifton, GA.  I attended ABAC and Valdosta State University where I majored in Middle Grades Education.  I earned my Master of Education degree from the University of Georgia.  My husband and I have lived in Houston County since 1998.  We have an adult daughter and son who both attended Mossy Creek several years ago.  I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, walking on the beach, traveling, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves and UGA Bulldogs.  This is my 29th year teaching middle school.  Most of my experience is in 7th grade math.  I enjoy making learning fun and I help students see how math is used all around them.  I treasure the "light bulb moments" when students feel pride in knowing that they have learned from their mistakes and that their effort is paying off.  I have been at Mossy Creek since it opened.  I love this school and I am looking forward to another year of making a difference in the lives of my students.
