Mr. Kenney received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia College and State University, with a major in Health and Physical Education. He got a job teaching computers at Northside Middle School in 2001. After a year of teaching computers, he began teaching science.  Through-out his eleven years at Northside Middle School, Mr. Kenney took on the role of Team Leader, member of the Better Seeking Team, Leadership Team, DATA team, Department Chair for Science, as well as coaching football, soccer, and baseball.  Later he returned to school to earn his master's and specialist degrees in educational leadership from Georgia College and State University. In 2020, Mr. Kenney was named the Assistant Principal of Instruction. 

Mr. Kenney is married to Kathy Kenney, who is also a teacher in Houston County. They have two children, Ethan and Avery.
